This page explains, in plain words, when SafeAlias refunds money and how to ask for one. The short version: try free for 30 days, get a full refund within 14 days of your first charge if you change your mind, and after that cancel any time to stop future charges. If anything below is unclear, write to hello@safe-alias.appand we'll rewrite it.

The 30-day free trial comes first

Every paid plan starts with a 30-day free trial. You add a payment method to begin it, but no charge is made until the trial ends. Cancel any time during those 30 days from Settings and you are charged nothing, so there is nothing to refund, because nothing was taken. We send a reminder before the trial converts so a charge never arrives as a surprise.

14-day money-back guarantee on your first charge

If you are charged at the end of your trial and decide within 14 days of that first charge that SafeAlias isn't for you, write to us and we refund it in full. No questions, no friction, no "tell us why" survey. This applies to the first paid period only.

After 14 days: cancel anytime, no partial refund

Monthly subscriptions are not refunded for the current period once the 14-day window on the first charge has passed. You can cancel from Settings at any moment; cancellation stops all future charges and keeps your access until the end of the period you already paid for. We don't pro-rate partial months, but we also don't lock you into a term, so there's nothing to escape from.

Annual plans

If you choose an annual plan, the 14-day money-back guarantee on the first charge applies the same way. After 14 days, an annual plan is not refunded for the remainder of the year, but it will not auto-renew if you cancel before the renewal date. We will say so clearly at checkout if an annual option is offered.

If we don't deliver, you get your money back

The windows above are about "changed my mind". They do not cap our obligation when the fault is ours. If SafeAlias suffers an extended outage, a core feature is broken for a meaningful stretch, or the service does not do what we said it does, we will refund the affected period regardless of the 14-day rule. Tell us what happened and we'll make it right.

Your statutory rights as a consumer

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive. Where the service has already begun with your express consent, that right may be limited by law, but our 14-day money-back guarantee above meets or exceeds it in practice, and nothing in this policy takes away any non-waivable right you have under the law of your country of habitual residence. Consumers outside the EU keep whatever protections their local law provides.

How to request a refund

Email hello@safe-alias.app from (or mentioning) the email address on your account, and tell us you'd like a refund. You don't need an order number; we'll find it. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through our payment processor, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.

Please ask us before opening a chargeback

A chargeback or payment dispute filed with your bank is slower for you and costs us a fee even when the refund was always going to be approved. If something went wrong with a charge, email us first. We will almost always resolve it faster than a dispute would. Accounts with an unresolved chargeback may be suspended until the matter is settled, since the payment processor requires it.
