How it works

They write from a link. You reply in a chat.

SafeAlias sits between you and the people who write you for work: a private chat in place of your number or your email. Quick to set up, quiet to use.

Why this exists

Your work means letting people contact you. That contact, in the wrong place, becomes a real problem.

A number that leaks. A screenshot that travels. A stalker who finds an old profile. A friend who sees an unwanted notification on your phone. You already know the risks. SafeAlias is a way to keep working without paying the price for it.

What it is

A chat channel you hand to clients. Not your number.

You create a link, like safe-alias.app/lia, and give it out instead of your number. Whoever writes you opens a conversation: you read it and reply inside SafeAlias, in a chat, the way you would on any messenger. For them it's just a link, no app to install. Your email, your number, and your name stay out of it. It's not email forwarding and it doesn't run through your phone: it's a chat that lives here, and you switch the alias off when you're done.

Step by step

How it actually works.

  1. 1. You create your alias.

Takes 30 seconds. You pick a short name, like "lia" or "roma-meet". It becomes safe-alias.app/lia.

  2. 2. You give it to clients.

Wherever you want: your X bio, your website, your portfolio, a business card. It goes in the place you used to put your private number or email.

  3. 3. They write you.

You open SafeAlias and find the message in your chat. You see who wrote (their email is verified). They see only your alias. If you want, we also ping you by email, but the conversation stays in SafeAlias.

  4. 4. You reply when you want.

You reply in a chat from SafeAlias. Whoever wrote you gets your reply through a secure link, no app to install on their side. They never learn your real email, your phone, or where you are.

  5. 5. If a client gives you trouble, you block them.

One click. They can't write you anymore from that alias, or from any alias. Forever.

Safety check-in

Someone you trust hears if you don't.

Lia has an appointment at 10pm. Before she goes, she opens SafeAlias and sets a check-in: "I'll confirm I'm safe by 11:30pm." If by 11:30pm she has not opened the app and tapped "I'm okay," SafeAlias automatically sends a quiet email to her sister Anna, the trusted contact she chose. Anna already knows what that email means. She knows what to do.

The trusted contact has to confirm by email that they want to be that contact. So you can't accidentally drag a friend into an alert they didn't sign up for.

What we don't do

Things we promise, and mean.

  • We don't sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
  • We don't show ads. Not now, not later.
  • We can't read your conversations. They are encrypted. Not even our team can open them without your access.
  • We don't share anything with police or third parties unless we receive a binding legal request. When that happens, we tell you, ahead of time, wherever we legally can.
  • We don't ask for your real name, your date of birth, or your photo. Just an email and a name you pick yourself.
